Four Seasons has added a new A/C system lubricant for hybrid vehicles to its comprehensive line of climate control products.
Four Seasons has added a new A/C system lubricant for hybrid vehicles to its comprehensive line of climate control products. This premium-quality lubricant provides protection and anti-wear agents for maximum dielectric strength.
“An important consideration when performing A/C system work on any vehicle is using the correct lubricant. This is particularly important when servicing a vehicle with an electric or ‘hybrid’ compressor,” said Matt Guden, marketing and business development manager, Four Seasons. “Conventional R-134a-compatible A/C lubricants are extremely hygroscopic and may transfer electrical current to the compressor case, thus, damaging the compressor. Our new hybrid electrical insulating refrigerant oil is designed to keep voltage from leaking to the compressor case through the oil.”
Four Seasons’ part number 59889 is designed for use in the following vehicles:
